Stir-fried roasted chili paste (chili oil paste / nam phrik phao). Is a common ingredient in Thai cooking. Roasted chili paste is one of those pantry items that can transform almost any dish instantly. A little bit spicy, a little bit sweet, but it really added something to the texture and fullness of the meal. Serve with steamed rice.
